Church Remembrance Garden

Late 2006 Church Remembrance garden had a major uplift and is now nearing completion all the work carried out by volunteers.

This valuables task is still ongoing with generous donations of bushes for the North Wall .  And garden retaining wood blocks features to retain new  soil the task including cutting of this plot of grass when necessary .
The memorial stone has had a good clean to enhance the flowers placed on this feature. Rear lattice fence boundary  is nearing completion .

All the labour is given  freely .

Any one who is working near the Church or visiting is always surprised at the number of visitors to the garden   using  the seats for a few quite moments of  reflection .
Or bringing flowers to place on the garden plots or alternatively   placing   in the stone flower holders.
This is very relevant when it is a anniversary of the passing away of a loved ones .
All ages are in the garden remembrance plots including children who will never be forgotten.
Sometimes a bride and groom leave part of   there bouquet on a relatives plot .

Special times in the Church Calendar  Easter ,Whitsuntide, Christmas there is always flowers to admire.

The remembrance book with is pages open each week showing a record of a loved one in the Church also is part of this memory. If you do have a time please take a few moments to walk across the church grass through the steel arch  step on the concrete penny’s to pass in to this area of our Church.

If you have any request to enhance this garden feature please ask  one of the Church wardens (It is your Church )
