The Church of St John, Ainsdale
The Parish Church of Ainsdale, in the Diocese of Liverpool, Church of England
The
porch was built soon after the Second World War (around 1950). Nowadays it has
noticeboards to give advance notice of church events and hold displays that
relate to Church seasons of services. Click on the pictures to see larger versions
(100k each).
It
is the church's point of contact with the outside world. The Church of England
has links throughout the world and as an individual
church St John's has many links with the wider community. In Ainsdale the Church
is involved in, amongst other things...
As a church we also support a variety of charities, each year we donate a percentage of our income to charities. One charity we have particular links to is Hospice Africa, a charity that has set up a hospice in Uganda to provide palliative care and also provides training in palliative care for health professionals throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
We would also like to hear from those who visit us on the web. Please feel free to send us feedback and take part in our forums.
