Churches Together in Ainsdale is a fellowship of Christian Communities in the Ainsdale area of Southport .
It aims to promote greater understanding between Christians of different traditions and to encourage, wherever possible and desirable, joint prayer, worship, witness and social activity.
United in the gospel of Jesus Christ, we have regular meetings of representatives from the various churches and the ministers also enjoy their fellowship meetings.
Together, we engage in events and projects to support the local community - such as Ainsdale Community Care and Ainsdale Food Bank.
Churches Together in Ainsdale work in co-operation and share worship between the various Christian churches of Ainsdale. The churches involved are: Ainsdale Village Church, Methodist Church, Sacred Heart RC Church, St John's Stone RC Church ( also known as Heart Stone) and St John's C of E Church.
St John’s which is a member of Churches Together in Ainsdale is proud to be partnering with TLG (Transforming Lives for Good) with the initiative Make lunch Scheme. Our aim is to bring hope to struggling children through holiday lunch clubs. Each club provides free, hot and healthy meals to children and families who would otherwise go hungry. We provide vital support to some of the most vulnerable children in our community and, in addition, build relationships with families in desperate need of the loving support of our compassionate church family.
We aim to provide a lifeline during the school holidays. See here to watch our video
All our kitchens are run by volunteers who believe that even just one meal for one child could make a vital difference.
Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus epidemic, our Make lunch scheme has had to be temporarily suspended. As an alternative we are offering bags of hope to families who need assistance. For more information about this check out our film.
If you would like to support our TLG scheme with cash, food, crafts or any other donations, or if you are aware of a family that might be in need, please contact…
